NIGHTWOOD - U.S.A. At the age of ten, Julian Gordon’s first family was slaughtered in the woods by a creature of unimaginable savagery...himself. With the help of his best friend Waylan, Julian flees town and is believed missing - consumed by the same ‘animal’ that killed his family.

Now, fifteen years later, Julian returns home to bury his friend Waylan and finds his old town colonized by a different kind of monster – vampires. Julian is one of the last werewolves who have managed to survive despite the genocide orchestrated by the vampires who exist in secret, and when he learns his best friend died at their hands, it sparks a conflict in the small town of Nightwood that it cannot contain, threatening to expose the two groups to the world.
